Privacy Policy
How Occaya handles information when you create an invitation or respond as a guest. Updated 30 September 2026.
Account and guest information
Owners provide an email and password, with an optional display name and contact mobile number. A contact number is not verified and is not used to sign in. Invitations may include names, event details, venues, addresses, map links and photos. Checkout asks for a billing phone number. RSVP guests may provide a name, attendance, party size and optional message.
Use and providers
We use information to run accounts and invitations, process payment, show RSVP responses to the owner and provide support. Card entry takes place on Paymob's hosted checkout, which processes payment and billing details. Occaya receives payment status, order information and limited card details, such as the last four digits when supplied. Passwords are stored as hashes. Hosting and technical providers help run the service. Map links or embedded maps may send browser information to the map provider, including Google Maps where used.
Sharing and browser storage
Anyone with a published invitation address can view its page. Uploaded photo links can remain directly accessible after the page is unpublished. Unpublishing hides the page, but does not delete records or revoke photo URLs. RSVP responses are visible to the owner, who can export them; they are not public.
The site uses a session cookie for signed-in owners. Unfinished invitation drafts and photos may be saved in browser storage. A browser token lets a guest update an RSVP response.
Retention and your choices
We keep account, invitation, RSVP and payment records as needed to operate the service and address support, payment and legal needs. Owners can edit or unpublish invitations and export responses. Guests can contact the owner about their response.
For access, correction or deletion requests about information held by Occaya, or to ask about applicable consent withdrawal or objection rights, email support@occaya.com with details to identify the account or invitation. You may also contact Egypt's Personal Data Protection Center with a complaint.
